Help

Questions, answered properly.

Including the ones where the honest answer is less flattering than the marketing one.

Getting started

What does MEDICI actually do?
You describe a market question. A research agent investigates it, a validation agent checks that research against its sources, a strategy agent turns the findings into a plan, and a second validator checks that plan for feasibility. You get a structured report and a slide deck.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MEDICI runs in the browser. There is nothing to install and no client to keep updated.
What makes a good brief?
A specific question beats a broad one. 'Where should a compliance-automation product sell first in the UK?' produces sharper work than 'tell me about compliance software'. Include any constraint that matters — budget, team size, timeline — because the plan is built around them.
How long does a run take?
It depends on the tier and the research depth, and we are not going to quote a number we have not measured across real usage. Deeper research and the validation passes take longer, by design. The comparison worth making is against a consulting cycle measured in months.

The agents

Who are Marco Polo and Michelangelo?
Marco Polo is the research agent: it investigates the market, profiles incumbents, and identifies underserved segments, then hands a structured brief to Michelangelo. Michelangelo is the strategy agent: it treats that brief as its source of truth and produces the growth strategy, pricing, plan and hiring recommendations.
Why add Galileo and Brunelleschi?
Because a model asked to review its own work tends to approve it. Galileo starts with fresh context and one job: check Marco Polo's claims against the sources actually retrieved. Brunelleschi does the same for Michelangelo's plan, testing feasibility and whether each recommendation traces back to the research.
What happens when a validator finds a problem?
The original agent revises. This is the part that matters — a critique appended to the bottom of a document leaves the flaw in the document with a note attached. The finding has to send the work back.
Which tiers include the validators?
Monthly Pro and Patron. The Free tier runs Marco Polo and Michelangelo. See pricing for the full comparison.

The report fingerprint

What is the fingerprint?
A SHA-256 hash computed from the report's content. Recompute it at any time: if a single character has changed, the hash will not match. Your board can verify that the document they received is the document we produced.
What does it NOT prove?
It does not prove the claims in the report are correct. It is not a timestamp, and it is not a legal attestation. A tampered report and an accurate report are equally hashable. It proves integrity, not truth — and anyone who tells you a hash does more than that is overselling it.
How do I verify one?
Download the report as JSON and hash the file exactly as delivered — on macOS or Linux, shasum -a 256 does it. Hash the bytes you received rather than a copy you have re-saved or reformatted: the hash covers the exact bytes, so even adding indentation changes it. You can try this on the sample report.

Plans and billing

Is the free tier a trial?
No. It is a tier. Two sessions per rolling thirty days, forever, with no card. If you never upgrade, nothing stops working.
Why 'rolling thirty days'?
A calendar reset would let someone joining on the 29th take two sessions and two more within 48 hours. A rolling window gives everybody the same allowance regardless of when they signed up.
Why is the Patron tier not called Lifetime?
Because it carries a monthly session allowance and a fair-use ceiling, so 'lifetime unlimited' would be untrue. Patron is the honest name for what it is: you pay once, up front, and receive everything the workshop goes on to create.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — the terms are on the refund policy page. Please use the free tier first, though. The best refund is the one you never need.

Data and privacy

Do you train models on my briefs?
No.
Should I paste confidential material into a brief?
Be careful. Brief text is sent to a language model provider, because that is how the analysis gets produced. Read the privacy page and satisfy yourself it is acceptable under your own obligations before putting anything sensitive in.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Delete your account and your sessions and reports go with it. Email us if you would rather we did it for you.
