Questions worth asking

Is Launch really free?

Yes, and it is a trial rather than a permanent tier. Two full sessions over 30 days, with the complete report and deck each time, at no cost. Your first session asks only for an email; a card is stored before your second and is not charged during the trial. Nothing renews by itself - at 30 days the trial ends and you choose Pro or Patron.

What happens at the end of the 30 days?

Access stops and you are asked to choose. You are never charged automatically, and there is no surprise renewal - a stored card sits unused unless you decide to subscribe. If you do nothing, nothing happens except that you stop being able to start new sessions.

Why is a card needed for the second session?

The first session is genuinely anonymous beyond an email. The second costs us real money in research and model time, and a stored card is what stops one person from taking unlimited free analysis under a stream of new addresses. It is a Stripe card capture, not a charge.

What is a 'session'?

One market question, run end to end. Marco Polo researches it, you review the research handoff (by default), Michelangelo turns that briefing into a strategy, and you get a report and a board deck at the end.

Are the two trial sessions per week, or per month?

Neither. Two sessions is the whole trial allowance, counted from the day you start, and it does not reset. That is simpler to reason about than a rolling window, and it means the allowance is identical whenever you signed up.

What do the validator agents actually do?

Galileo and Brunelleschi are editor loops - quality control, not verified evidence. Galileo checks Marco Polo's evidence against the sources actually retrieved, flagging any company, funding round or figure that is not supported - and Marco Polo then revises. Brunelleschi does the same for Michelangelo, checking that the plan is feasible and that every recommendation traces back to the research.

Is research-handoff review on the Launch free trial?

Yes. Launch, Pro, and Patron all include it, and it is on by default. After research you can edit the briefing before strategy, or turn Pause for handoff review off in Settings. Galileo and Brunelleschi validators are Pro and Patron only.

Why does the run pause before strategy?

Research-handoff review is on by default: you read and edit Marco Polo's briefing before Michelangelo synthesizes strategy. In Settings you can turn off Pause for handoff review if you prefer an uninterrupted run.

What is the difference between Pro and Patron?

Pro ($99/month) adds Balanced and Deep research, Galileo and Brunelleschi editor loops, multi-query live-web research, full report sections, history, and fingerprints. Patron ($1499/year) includes everything in Pro, plus the fullest included compute, priority support, and every specialized agent shipped while subscribed. Extra runs past the included allowance are charged to the card on file before they start. Patron is yearly, not lifetime.

How current is the research?

Marco Polo searches the live web at the time of the run, and the sources are listed in the report with their publication dates. You can see exactly what the strategy was built on.

What does the report fingerprint prove?

Every report carries a SHA-256 hash computed from the report's content. Recompute it any time: if a single character changed, the hash will not match. It proves the document is intact - it does not prove the conclusions are correct, and it is not a timestamp or a legal attestation.

Why is Patron yearly rather than one-time forever?

Patron is a yearly subscription at $1499/year - the fullest included compute and every specialized agent we ship while you stay subscribed. Extra runs past that allowance are charged to the card on file before they start. It is not unlimited.

Can finance pay by invoice or wire?

Yes. Pro is $99/month and Patron is $1499/year, both through Stripe - cards, Google Pay, and US bank debit when Stripe shows them. Patron can also take a Stripe invoice for card or bank transfer. Write support@cogdroid.com if you need that path.

Can I change or cancel?

Cancel any time from the Billing page in the app. If you cancel within fourteen days of a payment and have not started a session since it, the payment is refunded at once; otherwise your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and nothing more is charged. To move from Pro to Patron, switch on the same page: unused Pro days are credited against the Patron year and you pay the difference.
